Indications
For the treatment and prevention of flea (Ctenocephalides spp.) infestations

- Can be used as part of a treatment strategy for the control of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD)

- In tick season, daily searching for, and removal of, any ticks found is recommended
- The product should be administered at regular monthly intervals
- Treatment with Simparica may begin at any time of the year
- If a flea infestation already exists, fleas can continue to emerge into the environment for weeks to months - because of the continuing development of existing flea eggs, larvae and pupae already present before the time of treatment - it may take more than a single treatment to achieve acceptable flea control
- Treatment should continue without interruption all year round - breaks in protection can allow for an environmental flea burden to re-establish
- To minimise the likelihood of flea re-infestation, it is important to treat all dogs and cats within the household - Simparica is approved for use in dogs only - check product labels for an appropriate approved flea control for use in cats
